Environmental biology is similar to ecology. But while both fields study ecosystems, environmental biology places more emphasis on the biological aspect. Also, while ecology often focuses on the interactions between species in the same ecosystem, environmental biology focuses on the impacts of human activities on those ecosystems and the species living in them. The interdisciplinary field of environmental biology focuses on the relationships among plants, animals and their surroundings, including their responses to environmental stimuli. Environmental biology is closely linked to and often coupled with evolutionary biology, since both involve an exploration of how organisms adapt to changing conditions. The environment and ecosystem, lack of concern amongst planners and ecologists about the side effects of the development projects, gaps in information and in training personnel, absence of multi-disciplinary approach to development project, and lack of systematic information, data and feed back system. Prof. Rashmi Sharma, M.Sc., Ph.D., D.Sc., FIAZ, FGESA, FSAS, FNAS, FESA, Associate Professor, Zoology, SPCGCA, MDSU, Ajmer. She has 28 Years of teaching and research experience. 09 students completed M.Phil under her guidance and 06 students doing Ph.D. and 02 students have been awarded with Ph.D. degree under her supervision. She has written 35 books, Published 20 papers, Attended more than 100 National and International Conferences, Presented Papers in more than 10 countries, Organizing Secretary in Many International Conferences. She also has interest in Astrology, Numerology and Yoga and creative writing.
Dr. Ashwani Kumar Dubey is a Leading Scientist of the 21st century in India. He is serving as Executive Director, Environment and Social Welfare Society, Khajuraho, India. His research field are Biochemistry, Free Radical Biology, Toxicology and Stress Monitoring, Aquaculture Pathology, Water Quality Assurance, Biodiversity, Environmental Impact Assessment and Bio-Resources Conservation. He has published more than three dozen Research papers in International, National Journals, Proceeding and in Book. Twelve book published by reputed publisher from India & Germany.
Dr. Ashwani serving from 1997 in Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh is widely regarded as one of India’s foremost experts on Zoology & Environmental sciences. He awarded many prestigious awards by National and International institution. He is in editorial board member of Research Journals in India, America, United Kingdom, Egypt, France, Syria, Nepal, Iraq, Sudan, Malaysia, Romania and Japan. And he is an Advisor of Research Board of America, USA. Also nominated as Member Advisory Committee for Rejuvenation of Lakes in India, AICTE, Ministry of Education, GoI.
